Got it!!
I promised that I will post as soon as got the new laptop and here it is.. Just picked it up this afternoon after I got back from work, and spent the whole evening trying it. Here is the spec. ACER 9300 series, AMD Turion 64 MK-36 2,0Ghz, 1024MB RAM, 120 Gb harddisk, 17″ screen, Internal webcam and nVIDIA GeFORCE 6100 128 MB.
A quick glance about this laptop, here are the list of what I like:
- 1. The speed, its just really fast.. well.. I never tested it properly, but I just ran loads of programs on it and it still works without any problems.
- 2. The screen, the 17″ crystal bright and the resolution (1440 x 900) just perfect.
- 3. The keyboard, yeah.. they gave me the full size keyboard like they have on pcs.
And here are the stuff that I dont like:
- 1. The crappy programs that comes with the installation.
- 2. The mousepad, which I dont feel comfortable at all using it.
Well.. probably that’s it that I can say till now, I haven’t really spent a lot of time with it. Hopefully it will be as good as it predecessor. Next step is of course installing Linux (UBUNTU Edgy Eft) on it, and this is probably the most interesting stuff that I will do.
